gallop a dino ? (30 may 10)
sch holiday started. kids got nothing to do so I encouraged them to do some craftwork. Quite creative right. yy so busy working on the dino for charlie, he did not manage to finish his.
navy open house (22 may 10)
I never like to visit any of these open house. The isolated location, packed crowd, long queue and long hrs under the sun really put me off. But yy was quite keen after I shown him the webpage so here we are. Good for us, it was not very crowded as each ship is parked a distance away from one another. Weather was good too.
We reached the event after 2 hrs of public transport. But the trip is worth it. We went on board 2 ships, visited the control room, saw the guns, missiles and bullets.
Left pic : duck tour
Different weapons on the ship are used for different purpose like to counter missiles, for short and long range firing.
left pic : this is used to keep the life boat. The life boat will inflated when it touches water, has the basic necessities on board and it has a cover like a tent.
Janice and her mummy went to the open house with us but we dont have a single pic of her. However we have many pic taken by her. All the pic without yy are taken by her including these.
The 2nd ship we board is the landing ship tank. It is a very huge ship with carteen, gym, leisure room, mini surgery room, crew bed room and of course many many stairs. Really many and very steep. The ship is so big, it has a small area for berthing and boarding the FCU (cant remember what it stands for).
The FCU cruise is fun. It travels at a fast speech and very bouncy when the wave hits.
Since we only went onboard 2 ships. What did we do for the rest of the time?
should have go for family carnival instead.
It harvesting time (16 may 10)
The peanut plant is finally ready for harvesting.
no talk talk only. really many peanuts attached to the roots.
Accordingly to beth, we are supposed to "sun" the peanut first. Since we are not adventurous enough to eat the peanut sprayed with insecticide, we skipped and proceeded to the next step. We had a hard time removing the shell. It likes stick to the peanut.
Look wise - pass. Taste - up to your imagination

BIL booked a chalet at downtown east. levin bought crabs and prawns. It has becomes his favourite after he has tried it once. Looks nice right. The crabs taste good too. The fresh is very sweet and nicely done without any seasoning.
yy drew the pic on the beach.

Happy Mother's Day 2010 (9 may 10)
This is charlie's Mother's Day artwork in school. A flower, a vase and a paper pouch to hold the flower. I guess the teachers in school must have told the kids to hold the artwork and present to their mummy saying "Happy Mother's Day Mama". Cos my dear girl has been doing that repeatedly since Friday till Sunday morning. (Why till Sunday morning only ? - see below) Can u tell the difference between the 2 pic ?The vase is cracked.
It only lasts less than 2 days. Charlie has been playing with it and she accidentally dropped it this morning. To conclude, my first Mother's Day present from charlie went to the dustbin on Mother's Day.
As for yy, he bought a card from school on Friday for Mother's Day present. Initially he wanted to add some pic in it and give me on the exact day. But it never comes. I guess he must have put it somewhere and forgot all about it.

Talkative girl (9 may 10)
Charlie can converse very well nowsaday. She no longer just talk to you about the cartoon, her toys and her fight/complaint on yy. I noticed that she can go on a conversation with yy causally with not much problem on almost any topics. Of course there are many instances when their conversation is like niu tou bu dui ma zui. They can chit chat on the back row of the car on everything under the sky, they can talk about the tv programme they are watching, charlie can join in or rather interrupt the conversation I had at home with her daddy or yy. And she loves to "tell tales" on her brother when I'm checking with beth and last but not least, she sure know how to boss her brother telling him to finish his homework.
Is yy as fluent in his speech at this age ? I cant remember but I can recalled yy is very soft spoken. He dont talk as much not when he is still 3 to 4 years old.

what plant is it ? (9 may 10)
Guess what plant is this ?
Hints :
1) rather short plant with many leaves
2) small yellowish flower along the thin stem. Stem is rather weak (no sure it is becos of the lack of fertiliser or constraint environment) 3) stems branching out near to the root area, growing in different directionGive up !
Answer : Look below
Yes ! It is peanut plant. Can u believe it. We have peanut growing in our "miserable" corridor space. Beth grown the plant from the peanut Levin eats as snack. Peanut supposed to grow underground. No sure why is ours above the ground level. According to Beth, when the plant starts to wither, it is a sign that the peanut growing underground can be harvest.
These peanuts below are not fully grown yet.
