Mummy bought a new pair of shoe this week. Instead of throwing away the shoe box. She has persuaded guo guo to make something out of it. She suggested a bus, a boat, a house, a school ..... Guo guo has decided to make a house for his little Pokemon friends.

Inside the house, there are a bed, a table, a toy box, book shelf and TV with TV game plugged onto it. Guo guo even drawn the TV game graphic on the TV. It a racing car game with obstacles to overcome. There is even a Pikachu photo hanging on the wall.

Haha! Did u realise the door is smaller than the window ?

Art Fest Closing Celebration (21 jun 08)

We went to the closing celebrations at Bedok Reservoir today. There are limited signages directing the events and Bedok reservoir is very big. Daddy dropped us off at the wrong end of the park and we have to walk (and jog and run) for 20 mins to the other end of the park where the stage is.

The show has a simple storyline and the performers are expressive in their action. It was crowded. I saw many families around with children. It a good sign to see more people participating in art performance. Unfortunately the audiences were not very spontaneous. Very lurkewarm and not much of a applauses at the end of the show. Gor gor dont seems to enjoy much. He was afraid the fire display and fireworks. For me, I was standing so far away and blocked by the people infront. But I still enjoyed myself as long as I am outdoor.

guo guo came back on tues night after his phonic lesson telling mummy that his classmate brought the leopard toy (Kungfu panda's toy from McDonalds' Happy Meal) to school and let him play with it. Guo guo even told mummy that his friends got all the 4 characters.

Mummy couldnt understand why his friends keep bringing toys to classes. What are the kids doing in class with the toys when they are supposed to be paying attention to the what the teacher has to say. Seemingly teachers are turning a blind eye to all these too. They choose not to get involved. Sigh ! Maybe that is the difference between the different standard of education program offered (guo guo's phonic class is conducted at RC by similing star school).

Could not resist the temptation, guo guo asked to buy the toy from McDonalds with his points, knowing that we seldom give in to his request for toys. However he dont have enough points for a McDonald meal. He needs 20 points for that but he only got 16. So that night, mummy and daddy has to conveniently give him the extra 4 points for so easy tasks that he has completed.

Guo guo was so happy on thurs when papa brought him to McDonalds for lunch and he choose the panda. Thanks goodness it is still available. Dont know what he will do if he realised the promotion is over.

ps: in the end mummy bought him the panda, praying mantis and Tai Long

Father's Day at Peach Garden (15 jun 08)

It's Father's Day today ! We went to Peach Garden with my yi yi, Kow Fu and grandparents for dim sum. It was so crowded. We have made a reservation for 1pm but still have to wait for 40 min for a table. It was super crowded and the service was slow. Most likely it is due to many pp celebrating Father's Day with their family.

The food is nice. Guo guo likes it too. He finished whatever mummy gave to him and keep asking for more. I have tried a no of dim sum too. Some of my fav are custard bun, egg tart, char siew bun, siew mai.... But the prices are a bit steep. A dim sum meal for 6 adults and 1 kid costs us $200 .

U must be wondering where is mei mei kate. She slept throughout the whole waiting and eating process. Poor yi yi has to carry her while trying to eat.

Incase u did not notice. This is a "ambulance van" and look at the way we drive. Haha :) Guess we need more practice.

The book "Harry" (14 jun 08)

Guo guo made a book himself. His book title is "Harry" and it consists of 6 page. However only 2 pages is colored and the rest are not. I guess he dont have the time (or rather should be patience) to color all the pages. He is a busy boy u know.

Did u see the vvvvvvv on the pages, it represents dialogue. So creative I must said !

He got the inspiration from a kid magazine which has an activity that require the page to be cut and folded into a book. Keep up the good work guo guo !

Ps : I dont hear guo guo reading his book to anyone wonder what the story about?

Page 5 and 6 Dont know what happen but only left with only harry and a dino. Even the sun is missing.

Hort Park (14 jun 08)

This is the second last weekend for this school holiday. Guo guo told mummy that he wants to visit a park so here we are, at the the Hort Park this morning. It was nearly 10am when we reached. The weather was hot. We are surprised to see so many people at the park including young and old. You can see many youngsters came prepared with camera.

Guess what we found. The park is unique with many different themes and presentation such as indoor plants, aqua plants, table displays, hanging plants, small pot displays, air plants. This will be a good place to visit if u are looking for varieties in flowers for photo shots or as an interest.






There are playgrounds too. See how much we enjoyed ourselves.






I missed my morning nap time. Managed to get a substitute for my bolster. Well .... it is much harder and heavier but I guess I can adapt fast.

Guo guo visited his nanny (11 june 08)

Guo guo visited his nanny today. He stayed there the whole day. I bet he must has enjoyed himself a lot. He was all smiling away when we picked him up at night. He bought along with him his Stitch toy, sticker books, chou chou and bolster (for afternoon nap). Hang Ten gor gor (nanny's son) bought him a T-shirt. But it is too big for gou gou. It is a size 140 which can fit mummy well. Mummy is trying to get it change to a smaller size but she don’t have the receipt. Actually mummy doesn’t have to worry if she did not manage to change the size cos it fit me just as good. See for yourself !

Another IQ game (11 jun 08)

Mummy bought another toy for guo guo. It's another IQ game. This time she got it from popular sale at only $5.90 . In fact she saw another set at the same price which is similar to the one she bought for guo guo 2 weeks ago at $19.10 from Nuture Craft. She felt so lugi as she has paid so much more for the same thing but different brand. I guess mummy is not going to patronise that shop anymore. On the other hand, it dont think it is possible as the shop is just opposite to where mummy is working and from what I observe, she shops alot during lunch time.
