It's mummy power (24 jun 09)

There is no pic but this is something I want to blog so I can remember it :)

Reached home around 9.10pm yest. Levin was with me. When he went to the cot to carry charlie, she ignored him and pretended to sleep. But when Levin told her mummy was back. She immediately stood up and wanted to be carried out of the cot. haha ..... ........ ..... ha ! That the difference between mummy's and daddy's power !

Singapore River Fest (23 June 09)

We missed all the art fest programmes this year including the opening and closing performance.

This is the only performance the kids watched. I went on half day leave to pick them from home to Clark Quay station where the Read Bridge is. It was a acrobatics performance by 3 performers. Although it was a short 15 min, the show was both spectacular and breathtaking. The kids enjoyed themselves esp. yy with the accompany of his fav. cousin janice. After the show, we hanged around for another 1/2 hr before we left for home.

Doggie milo cookies (20 jun 09)

Next week is the last week of June holiday. We did not do much activities this round as the kids are sick during end may and again last week. In fact currently both charlie and yy are still having cough and flu respectively.

Indeed of going outdoor, we decided to do some baking today. I got the recipe from a blog. It makes very lovely doggie. It will be even better if we used Horlick instead of Milo to give the dog face a cream color. Dont know if the kids enjoy adding the eye (choco rice), nose (choco chips) and ears (koko krunch) on the dog face as they are fighting and screaming for every single thing. I guess I just have to get used to them behaving like that.

Little Ones at Work (12 june 09)

My office participated in this year NTUC "Little Ones at Work". Staffs are encouraged to bring our children to office. There are workshop organised by external party, art & craft and movie screening to entertain them. This is the first time yy came to my office despite I been working there for 8 years.



The kids played with the clay bought from Daso.



YY did a photo frame and some figurines.


The company engaged Art Zone to teach the kids to paint a clock. It is a real functioning clock. The boy siting next to yy is Jared. They "click on" every well despite Jared is already in Primary 5.

The finished artwork. When the teacher asked yy to draw more fishes on the pic. YY replied her that the other fishes are all outside the clock face.

YY enjoyed his day in my office. He was so wild that he ran with the other 2 kids in the office premises, joined Jared to play games at Cheng Ghee's workstation, went back to office from toilet with Cheng Ghee without waiting for me.

At the end of the day, our big boss gave out the presents to the kids. YY was very satisfied with his present as I was the one who went to get the presents.

After which we went to United Square to watch the Ben 10 Stage Performance. I also bought yy a Ben 10 alien force T shirt which I promised him as a reward for his attempt to learn swimming.



Before he sleeps, he told me that today is his lucky day cos he

- got to play clay

- got his fav toy - Ben 10 Alien Force toy Goop

- got his fav T Shirt - Ben 10 Alien Force T Shirt

- eat nuggets during lunch (order from Old Chang Kee)

- eat chicken chop for dinner

- drink ice milo on our way home

haha that consolidate his Lucky Day :)

swimming (7 June)

Bought a swimsuit for yy and it comes with a swimming cap. The cap seems to fit mei mei more than yy. haha.

Went Yishun Safra today, the kids have so much fun. After some rounds of warm up at the toddler pool, we went to the children pool. Give yy his first swimming lesson. Not too bad, he is willing to "try". As for charlie, she is even more daring.

With the round float, she will keep kicking her legs while we hold onto her arm.
