Both yy and charlie will eat the crust of the bread first, leaving the soft portion last.
For yy, he is "leaving the best for the last". He will munch off the crust slowly and "painfully" trying hard to swallow it.
As for charlie, she belongs to the group of people who will "eat the best part first". She loves the outer crust of the bread and will even eat that portion from your bread.
